This blog is about FibroMyalgia, and the particularly strange ways it affects my life. Although it can be a royal pain (oh, no, puns already?), Fibro can also be pretty interesting. And yes, I feel strongly that a sense of humor is the best medicine, particularly in my case. So, come along for the ride, I'll post some of the more interesting neural miscommunications as they come up. If I don't post for a while, maybe I'm feeling normal -- whatever that is...

Reality Check
Okay, so I just broke my back about three minutes ago, maybe four. I can move all of my extremities, and can twist, although breathing is a bit labored while doing that. I can touch my toes... and stand up after touching my toes, again not easily. So, is it a fair assessment that I only Fibro-broke my back, not real breaking?

Woke up in the middle of the night with no more broken back, just twisted 90 degrees at one point -- obviously just fibro, but still made it tricky to know which direction to step to walk forward. Then slept an hour, woke up to the back being broken again, but an old break, not a new one... Just very sore today.
