To be continued, once I've checked the Alaska Earthquake Information Center...
1.64 magnitude? I felt that? LOL
This blog is about FibroMyalgia, and the particularly strange ways it affects my life. Although it can be a royal pain (oh, no, puns already?), Fibro can also be pretty interesting. And yes, I feel strongly that a sense of humor is the best medicine, particularly in my case. So, come along for the ride, I'll post some of the more interesting neural miscommunications as they come up. If I don't post for a while, maybe I'm feeling normal -- whatever that is...

Silence is Not Always Golden... Initially
I've been trying to come up with a humorous angle for what's gone on recently, and I needed enough distance from it to see that it actually was already funny...
The Sunday before the last week of school before winter break, I broke my big toe. Not Fibro-broke, actually broke. This is the second time I have broken that one; the last time was in the 80s. Breaking a big toe is a MAJOR hindrance. You never realize how much you depend upon the big toe until you can't. Walking, balance... tucking in your shirt is almost impossible.
So the really funny part? How it happened. I was in standing line at my favorite coffee place. The big guy in front of me was having an animated conversation on his phone. Something struck him terribly funny at one point, and caused him to laugh and take two or three steps backward, without looking. That last step? Right on my big toe. And he was a very big guy... How does one break a toe in that situation? Seriously!
But don't worry. I still got my latte.

Quite the Day...
I was seizing almost all day today at work. I usually can mask it pretty easily, but had to wonder if anyone noticed with the amount of shaking that was going on. I didn't hear anything from anyone, but still would be curious to hear what people were thinking.
And tonight? Major fibro fog. Trouble remembering how to do things like operating light switches. I was going to type this up twenty minutes ago, but could not remember where my blog was. Um, dude... it's bookmarked.
Who knows what adventures tomorrow will hold!

Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On...
Yeah, that's about all I have to report. Lots of seizure/tremor stuff lately. Almost exclusively the right side -- which is my more common side always, but even more lately.
I have, on the bright side, been on my treadmill for 50 days in a row now!

It Has Been a While...
Not really anything new to report. Nothing amusing anyway. The last entry was hard to top anyway, lol...

At Least I Think This is Pretty Funny...
Here's hoping my vast audience does too!
3rd period, I have my class in the computer lab, working on projects. I feel a pretty good seizure about to come on. Then, out of the blue, one of the young ladies at the table near me says, "Earthquake?" I step away from her table quickly, so as not to cause it to shake any further. Then two other students in different parts of the computer lab say, "Earthquake!" Several others repeat them.
6.24, with an epicenter about 80 miles north of us...
No damage to the room, the students... or my legs.

Expletive Deleted
As things like this are happening, I am often torn between cursing and crying... but very soon after the event, they are funny.
About an hour ago, I stood at the bottom of the staircase in my house, trying to figure out how to operate it.
